I can’t imagine it was a big shock for him to learn that his supporters were so proud of him.
In fact, I can imagine it wasn’t even that big of a surprise to the president.
But Trump has been the biggest bully in American history.
The president’s critics — Democrats, liberal activists and people of color alike — have all accused him of waging a racist war on the country’s first black president.
It’s a charge that’s never been backed up by facts.
But for some reason, Trump’s supporters seemed to find something in the president to rally around.
They’ve made up a whole narrative about how he’s the best president in history, that he was elected to save America from itself.
It turns out that many of them have a lot of baggage.
